A long, long time ago, there was this here Greek lady name of Pandora. Now we all know that Eve was the first woman, but them Greeks had a funny way of thinking back then and seemed to think this Pandora was the first woman.
Well it seems that a Greek god name of Mercury (a Mercury is a car! Imagine that! Naming a god after a car!) and he had this big old box he was carrying and wanted to leave it with Pandora and her boyfriend, a fella name of Epimetheus. Anyway, a buddy of ours, name of Sammy, happened to be hanging around when this here Mercury came walking up to this here real cute Greek couple and asking for a place to store this great big box. Sammy told us that up until that very day, everybody had been just hopping around, playing and singing and happy as a pig in a puddle. See, Sammy was over there on some kind of oil job that was about over when this here thing happened.
Anyway, according to Sammy, Mercury, that fella named after a car, put this here great big, heavy box in Eppy and Pandy's house. Ya see, she called him Eppy and he called her Pandy. Now, old Pandy was the nosy sort. She just couldn't stand not knowing what was in that box. So while Eppy went back outside, to go on ahead with his singing and playing, Pandy stayed yonder fiddling with that big old box.
Now Sammy told us that even though all the stuff written down about this whole affair says the box was bound with a rope, tied with a big old knot and that's what Pandy spent so much time on but Sammy says the durn box was locked and she was trying to pick the lock. Sammy should know, too. He said he was standing right there. Now, after fiddling with that lock for a long spell, she stepped back and noticed this here bright thing lying on the ground. When she got closer she saw it was a key. She shoved that key in the lock and twisted and the box popped open. Well, everybody is supposed to know about what happened after that. All kinds of trouble for the folks dancing around and singing and playing. It got so bad they all had to get jobs. Why, the oil company that Sammy worked for hired Eppy on as a roughneck and Pandy as a filing clerk. Or was it the other way around? Hmmm… Well, Sammy traded the key to us for a case of beer and an old boat oar he needed for something, and here it is!
The above picture is darn close to what you'll get. The box might differ some but what you are buying will be a whole lot like what you see here.
